1. Seller Eligibility and Account Management
To sell on Dead Format, please provide truthful, complete, and up-to-date information. You're responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of your account and complying with all applicable local, national, and international laws related to your selling activities.
Note: Dead Format may occasionally update onboarding or authentication requirements, and you may need to complete these to maintain access.
2. Listing Your Items
We allow the sale of vinyl records only. When listing an item, please ensure that your descriptions and photos accurately represent each product. Items must be physically available to you for photographing and uploading, and all images must adhere to our Photo Policy. To clearly communicate item conditions, please follow the Goldmine Grading Standards.
Dead Format uses automated systems, manual reviews, and member feedback to maintain compliance and may remove any listings violating our policies.
Seller Checklist
By selling on Dead Format, you agree to:

Prohibited Items
You may not list, promote, or sell:
- Counterfeit or pirated records
- Unauthorized items that violate copyright law
- Stolen merchandise
- Materials obtained through unauthorized channels
- Content that promotes hate, violence, or white supremacy
- Personal identification or financial documents
- Items that pose health and safety risks
- Items unrelated to vinyl records or collecting
Dead Format reserves the right to:
- Remove any content
- Suspend or terminate accounts
- Report illegal activity to authorities
- Withhold funds from prohibited transactions
- Modify this policy at any time
Violations may result in immediate account termination without prior notice.
You remain solely responsible for complying with applicable laws, including required labeling and warnings. Dead Format assumes no responsibility for your listings' accuracy or content.
3. Completing Transactions
Fulfill all transactions promptly and professionally. Respond quickly and clearly to buyer messages, communicate potential issues openly, and deliver orders according to your stated policies and timelines.
Specifically, sellers must:

4. Shipping and Delivery
Ship items within the promised timeframe and always provide tracking information to ensure transparent delivery and timely payment processing. Clearly communicate and address any delays or shipping issues proactively.
5. Payments
All payments must occur through Dead Format's approved methods. Promptly fulfill orders upon payment confirmation and fully cooperate in resolving any payment disputes or chargebacks.
6. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations
Clearly outline your return, refund, and cancellation policies, handling requests promptly, fairly, and consistently according to your stated policies.
7. Reviews and Feedback
Feedback strengthens community trust. You must not manipulate reviews and always respond constructively and respectfully to feedback, including criticism.
8. Dispute Resolution
Sellers are expected to professionally resolve disputes directly with buyers. If a dispute escalates, please cooperate fully with Dead Format's dispute resolution process.
9. Intellectual Property
Ensure you own or have necessary rights or licenses for all listed items. Address intellectual property infringement claims promptly.
10. Community Standards and Marketplace Integrity
Maintain high ethical standards. Actions undermining trust, deceiving buyers, or negatively affecting our community may lead to warnings, suspension, or account termination.
If Dead Format suspects policy violations, we may deactivate content or suspend accounts at our discretion. Typically, we'll notify you except in cases of repeated violations or legal obligations.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
Protect buyer privacy rigorously. Use buyer information solely for order fulfillment and strictly comply with data protection and privacy laws.
12. Prohibited Content and Hate Speech
Dead Format does not allow the sale of items that promote hate, bigotry, or white supremacy in any form.
We're not interested in hosting records that glorify Nazism, incite violence, or spread hate toward others based on race, religion, gender, sexuality, or identity. If a release's intent appears to cross that line—whether through artwork, liner notes, or the content itself—it isn't welcome here and may be removed from the marketplace without warning.
We understand that music and politics are often connected, and not all politically charged material is a problem. Historical documentation, protest songs, or socially critical works are not automatically disallowed. But there is a difference between acknowledging something and promoting it, and we're not afraid to draw that line.
Sellers who use the platform to promote or distribute hateful material may lose access to the marketplace entirely. If you're unsure about something, feel free to ask before listing.

13. Updates to Seller Policy
We may periodically update this seller policy. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the revised terms.
