This guide will walk you through making an offer to a seller on the Marketplace. For information on how to manage your offers as a buyer, click here.
Listings that accept offers will display a Make offer button under the Add to cart button. Clicking it opens a window where you can enter:
-
Your offer amount (if the seller set a minimum, it will be shown)
-
An optional message to the seller
Sellers will have 24 hours to respond before the offer expires. You'll get an email if the offer is accepted, declined, countered, or expires.
Canceling your offer
You can cancel your pending offer any time before the seller responds. The seller will be notified when you do.
When your offer is accepted
If the seller accepts, you'll receive a notification with a link to complete checkout at the agreed price and you'll have 24 hours to complete purchase. During this time the item is still available to other buyers, so your purchase is not guaranteed until you complete the checkout process.
When a seller makes a counter-offer
A seller may respond with a counter-offer. You'll be notified and have 24 hours to:
-
Accept and proceed to checkout
-
Decline and end the negotiation
If you don't respond, the counter-offer expires automatically.
When a seller declines your offer
If the offer you make is declined by the buyer, you will not be allowed to make another offer on that listing.
