What is Dead Format Pro?
Dead Format is free to use for everyone. Pro is our paid membership for collectors who want to help support what we're building - we're a small, independent operation, and your subscription is what keeps this community running and improving. As a thank you, Pro comes with some nice extras.
What's included
- Ad-free browsing - no ads anywhere, in the app or on the site.
- Longer videos on your posts - attach videos up to 5 minutes long, instead of the 2 minute limit for free accounts.
- More collection photos - upload up to 10 photos per collection item, instead of the 1 photo limit for free accounts.
- Dark mode on the web - a darker, more comfortable experience on deadformat.com. (The app's dark mode is free for everyone.)
- Exclusive Discord access - connect with other Pro members in an exclusive channel.
- 3 Streak Restores every month (coming soon) - go back and complete a missed Vinyl Challenge day, keeping your streak, grid, and badges intact. See Restoring a missed challenge day with Streak Restores.

Plans and pricing
Two plans, same perks:
- Monthly - $3 per month, billed every month.
- Yearly - $30 per year (that's $2.50 a month, saving you $6 a year).
You can switch between plans at any time. If you switch to a yearly plan, you'll be charged the new rate on your next billing date.
How to subscribe
Head to deadformat.com/subscribe and pick a plan. In the app, open the menu and tap Dead Format Pro, then Learn more - it opens your account page on the web, where you subscribe and manage your membership. Subscribing on the web keeps prices lower for everyone (app store billing would add a big commission).
Billing and payments
We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure payment processor, Stripe. Payments are charged in advance and your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period. We never store your payment information on our servers.
If a payment fails we'll attempt to charge your card again, and you'll get an email about it. If we can't process the payment after multiple attempts, your subscription may be canceled.
Canceling your subscription
You can cancel anytime: go to your account's subscription page on the web and tap Manage subscription. Your Pro features remain active until the end of your current billing period, and after that your account simply goes back to the free plan - nothing else changes.
